At Image Smiles Dental in Vancouver, we use a range of dental technologies to help provide you with dental care.
Dental Technologies
We're committed to providing our patients with dental care and use dental technology to help us do that. The technologies at our dental office help us to offer dental care to our patients.
Dental Lasers
In dentistry, lasers are used by dentists to deliver light energy in a variety of dental procedures.
They can cut hard and soft tissues, vaporize decayed tissue, harden restorations quickly, and can be used with teeth whitening agents.
Digital X-Rays
Digital x-ray imaging uses digital x-ray sensors instead of the traditional photographic x-ray film.
Digital x-rays produce computer images of the teeth and gums, as well as other oral structures and conditions.
VELscope Oral Screening
VELscope is a hand-held, wireless oral screening device that uses fluorescence visualization technology.
It allows dentists to identify oral abnormalities like cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions, which are often difficult to detect with the naked eye.
Digital Dental Impressions
We use TRIOS intraoral scanners to scan the mouth and capture three-dimensional dental impressions in a few minutes or more.
TRIOS intraoral digital impressions help dental professionals create physical dental models for restorative dental work, such as veneers, implants, and Invisalign.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic dental x-rays create a single image of the entire mouth.
The resulting image is a flat representation of the jaw's curved structure including the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the nasal and sinus areas.
Dynamic Surgical Navigation
We use Dynamic Surgical Navigation technology to place dental implants. This free-hand guided surgery has real-time motion tracking of the dentist's hand-piece and patient's position.
The precise angulation and position of the drill is calculated and overlaid on a patient’s CBCT scan and then displayed on the computer monitor.
